[However this collotype facsimile edition has a dedicatory letter, in Latin, to the family of M. de Bicqueneul, Master of the Rolls in the Court of Rennes, who took care of the Bishop after the death of M. de Bicqueneul.]The Life is dedicated to Gregory Joyce, Canon of the first order of the Church of St. Gudule, and chaplain to the marquis of Caracena, Governor of Belgium. Canon Joyce, the pupil and devoted friend of the bishop, founded the confraternity of the Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas in Galway.At head of title: Coimisiún Láimhscríbhinní na hÉireann (Irish Manuscripts Commission).
