This is an original first Edition 1742 copy of the Cathecism. The text is in Irish and English. The Author Andrew Donlevy ,(1680-1746) was a Roman Catholic Priest, who trained in Ireland and France. His Bi Lingual Cathecism, (An Teagasg Críosduidhe),which also includes a treatise on "The elements of the Irish Language", was published in 1742. There is a name inscribed on the front fly leaf, "George, ( ?) Irish college, Paris".
