Set in a post-holocaust future, CLOUD WARRIOR follows the conflict between two disparate societies attempting to dominate the same planet. On the one hand there are the Trackers, descendents of military personnel protected from the blast who have lived underground ever since. They are masters of high-tec and have perfected the 'Amtrak System' which moves men and materials across the planet, protected by planes whose young pilots volunteer to expose themselves to radiation. The surface is dominated by the mutes, descendents of small groups who managed to survive the blast without taking refuge in bunkers. Much mutated, they are immune from radiation sickness, are more numerous and some possess remarkable psychic powers. They await the fulfilment of a prophecy - Talisman - foretelling a new apocalypse which will kill off all their enemies. But they haven't reckoned on the Trackers...
